is it normal for the PL code to flash when applying the brake pedal?

Hey Earle, the "P.L" error code on the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 is caused by a power interruption while the brake pedal is depressed per the owner's manual. See if unplugging the brake controller and plugging back in helps with this. If not check condition of the black wire of the brake controller. Let me know if that helps!
