Does this have a softstart installed? If no, what would you recommend to install a soft start on this unit

Hello Emon, thanks for reaching out.
No, the Furrion Chill Cube AC Units like part # LC54DX do not have a soft start installed. These units start up in different stages, so you do not get big amperage spikes during startup like you do with other units. For this reason a soft start really would not be needed.
Sadly, we do not yet have any concrete numbers for the startup amperage. We have installed a few of these units, but it isn't warm enough here in Missouri to actually get the compressor running at full power. The running amps are between 10 and 18 roughly. Once things warm up outside we will be able to test the unit at full power and get accurate numbers. For now the consensus is a soft start is not needed.

Hey Emon, how has the Furrion Chill Cube AC been performing without a soft start added? It’d be great to know if the staged startup kept things smooth once the weather warmed up. Your update could help others thinking about the same setup.
