Is Gold Connector Needed with the Voyager Antenna Extension
Updated 02/27/2025 | Published 02/22/2025 >
Question:
In the video for WVOSAPANTEXT you do not actually use the small gold connector piece. My question is what is that piece for? Is it for the WVCMS130AP only or the WVCMS10B only, or something else? Can that connector be purchased separately?

Hey Steve, thanks for reaching out!
The small gold piece is the adapter so that the Antenna Extension # WVOSAPANTEXT is compatible with both the WVCMS130AP and the WVCMS10B.
It is not available separately, no.
Are you needing this for a Voyager camera system, or are you trying to make it work for something else?

I guess that means that the connector is used to connect the cable to both cameras which makes me wonder why the cable doesn't have the correct connection in the first place. If the connector is not used, then what does the cable plug into natively? Some other Voyager camera models? Newer ones perhaps? I am trying to extend my Voyager system antenna but I would get a longer cable if I could. I found a longer cable (WVOSANT-EXT35) on another website that says it's compatible but it doesn't include a connector and I can't tell if that other cable has the connector built-in or if that other cable isn't compatible with either WVCMS130AP or WVCMS10B. (I have the WVCMS10B camera.) My conclusion is I need the 35-ft cable and the connector from the WVOSAPANTEXT. I'll order the WVOSAPANTEXT from you and if 10 feet isn't long enough, order WVOSANT-EXT35 from your competition although I'd rather get it from you guys since eTrailer is so awesome. (I'm not just saying that!)
