Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out!

Yes, you can still use the hub/drums from your hydraulic brakes with a new electric brake setup on your trailer. The 5.2K to 7K etrailer Rust-Resistant Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-7-D are an excellent kit if that's the weight capacity you're needing, and you'll need the following parts to complete an electric brake setup:

- 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1
- Butt Connectors # DW05745-10
- Breakaway Kit # 3802346
- Junction Box Kit # ET7WK (if you don't already have a 7-Way)
- Electric Brake Controller (let me know if you don't have one!)

I'm also attaching a link to our helpful article on adding electric brakes to a trailer for your reference.

Let me know if you end up having any other questions!

Hey Robert, how did the switch to electric drum brakes go with your existing hub/drums? Your update could make it easier for the next person looking to do the same conversion.
