Do Bronze Bushings Need to be Used with MORryde X Factor and Roadmaster Comfort Ride

Published 02/18/2025

Question:

In the Grand Design installation video he mentions that when installing the X-factor cross brace you need to swap out the spring eyelet bushings for bronze bushings. Is that necessary? Is there any reason why I can use the nylon bushings that come in the roadmaster springs with the wet bolts that are supplied with the cross brace?

Hey Mike, so MORryde does strongly recommend using bronze bushings with their X-Factor brace. Nylon just wears out quicker. Do you have the older 2 inch wide springs or the 1-3/4 inch wide springs?

I believe they are 1-3/4. The ones that come with the 8k comfort ride system for 3-1/2 axles. Other comments and videos on your site say to leave the roadmaster bushings because they are better than bronze. I feel like there is conflicting information about this.

@Mike If you wanted to keep the Nylon and just keep an eye on them at worst they will just wear out quicker and you'd need to replace them.
