Does Valve Core Need to be Removed for the Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders Installation
Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/05/2025 >
Question:
I have read on some forums that you should remove the valve core on the original tire stem. What does the manufacturer say? Also, if the answer is yes, should you remove the core from the extension as well?

Hey Howard, thanks for reaching out!
You'll just need to install the Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders # WM80293 directly over your valve stems without messing with either of the cores - I confirmed this directly with my contact at Wheel Masters for you.
Forums are great places to find ideas and feedback from direct users, but sometimes it doesn't like up with what the manufacturers say.
Let me know if you end up having any other questions!

Hey Howard, how did things go with the Wheel Masters valve extenders once you left the valve cores in place? Knowing how they performed could help others sorting through the same advice from forums.
