Question:

What’s your recommendation brand and size for air springs/lift for 2024 F250. I pull a 16,000 lb gooseneck and a 12,000 lb camper, and a generally heavy ranch pay load in the back, 200 to 2000lbs, balance of the time it’s a daily driver. Highway, off road at the ranch and dirt roads. So would like stable trailer and a nice ride empty, loaded or towing. Would also like an on board air compressor to pair with it to manage the springs with remote. Also would like it to be available for at least emergency use should I have a flat tire and need air. Thanks in advance!

Hey Aaron! I am going to recommend you go with the Firestone Air Bags item # F95FV over the Air Lift item # AL29DQ you were looking at. They both use good air bags but the Firestones are quite a bit more durable. They use a crimp rolled design as opposed to band clamps to secure the bags. This creates a pretty strong hold too. The Firestone air bags will support the rear axle when your truck is jacked up or on a lift. You would have to disconnect the Air Lift air bags.

The Firestone Red Label Extreme Duty Air Bags item # F95FV have a 7,500 lbs, which will give you plenty of support with the heavy loads you're hauling. All mounting brackets and hardware are custom fit and included for installation. This kit is compatible with in-bed hitches so you're good to go there.

I also recommend adding the Firestone Air Command Extreme Duty Air Compressor with Tank item # F49VV to your truck. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags individually from your phone. This kit also has a 2 gallon tank for emergencies or if you need to run an air tool.

Hey Aaron, how did the Firestone air bags and onboard compressor work out on your F250? I'm curious if the setup gave you the stable ride and flexibility you wanted between towing and daily driving. Your feedback could really help others hauling similar loads.
