What Is The Towing Capacity Of 2014 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi?

Question:

How much can those ram 1500s with a gooseneck hitch actually tow? I have a 2014 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi, with a 3.92 rear end, and air lift loadlifter 5000 ultimate air bags.

Hello Garrett, thanks for reaching out. I found the owners manual for a 2014 Ram 1500 online and according to the manual, the 5.7L V8 Hemi with the 3.92 axle ratio has a max towing capacity that ranges from 9,000 lbs to 10,450 lbs depending on whether you have 4wd or 2wd and also depending on cab size and bed size. The Air Lift air bags do not increase the towing capacity. Let me know your drive, cab size and bed length and I can get back to you with a more concrete number.

Its a 2014 ram 1500, 5.7 hemi, 4WD, quad cab with the 6-1/2ft bed. And I'm looking for the gooseneck towing capacity.

@Garrett Gotcha so based on the chart your payload capacity would be 1,490 and towing capacity is 10,150. They don't mention gooseneck specifically, so this would apply to gooseneck or 5th wheel. I do still recommend that you check your manual just to be 100% sure that your manual is consistent with what I am finding in the online version. If you are looking for the weight capacity of the gooseneck hitch itself, I would need to know exactly what brand of gooseneck hitch you have. Most of them are rated for like 25K or 30K so well over the trucks towing capacity.
