2020 Rockwood mini lite TT model 2506 Torflex axle lift kits Why is height limited to 31/8 height And concerns about going higher? Thanks

Hi Roger; are you referring to the 3-1/8" lift on the Torflex Lift Kit # K71-725-02? All of the lift kit heights are set by Dexter and are specific to your Torflex axle model so you really don't have a choice. The 3-1/8" is only designed to fit #12 Torflex axles which are typically 5,500-7,000-lbs.

Your GVWR is 6,804 lbs so there is no way you have #12 axles on there. If I had to guess I would say you have #10 Torflex axles which would mean the # K71-707-02 is the correct kit for your trailer. Double check your axle tag to verify this information. This kit has a 2-5/8" lift and is the only option available.

Is there a particular reason you want to lift the trailer higher? The problem with lifting it too much is you're throwing off the stability of the trailer since everything is designed around that stock height. The 2-5/8" won't make a significant difference but, even with that it wouldn't be a bad idea to add in the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember # MR33WR for added stability. You may be able to find a custom lift solution at a shop but If you take it up significantly higher you're asking for trouble.
