Question:

I am getting a 36 inch wide fishing kayak, will this fit? Also, what crossbars will I need to get with my 2013 Kia Sorrento?

Hey Gordon, I have a similar solution for your but the Showcase part # Y04081 can only carry up to a 28 inch wide kayak so it won't work with your 36 inch wide kayak. Instead we have the lift assist Thule Hullavator # TH898 that can carry a 36 inch wide kayak and would work great.

Then for a set of crossbars the Thule WingBar Evo part # TH52ZA fits your 2013 Kia Sorento and has a top channel that the Hullavator can attach into.

If I wanted to go with the Yakima Big Catch and I have raised stock siderails on my 2013 Kia Sorento, what Yakima crossbars would I be able to use?

@Gordon The Yakima Jetstream roof rack part # Y29UB is a confirmed fit for your 2013 Kia Sorento and would work great with the BigCatch # Y04091.

@Gordon I'm sorry I should have seen that. Oddly enough Yakima doesn't have a fit for raised rail versions of your vehicle. The Thule I mentioned earlier does fit the raised rails and is very similar to Yakima so that would be best option. I know some people don't like to mix brands but the Thule racks are very nice.
