Question:

are the instructions detailed on how to mount brackets to the ceiling? Other than guessing how do I know where on the ceiling to drill holes and mount brackets?

Hello Mike,

The instructions are not very descriptive on where to mount the the brackets, I do not have a PDF of the instruction so here they are:

Mounting the Ceiling Brackets:

Identify Mounting Points: Locate suitable positions on the ceiling above the bunk bed for the metal mounts.

Secure the Mounts: Using the provided screws, attach the metal mounts to the ceiling. Each mount typically requires two screws.

Attaching the Net to the Bunk Frame: Align the Bottom Tabs: Position the bottom tabs of the net along the bunk frame.

Secure the Tabs: Fasten the tabs to the bunk frame using the supplied screws.

Connecting the Net to the Ceiling Mounts:

Attach the Buckles: Connect the quick-release seatbelt-style buckles on the net to the ceiling mounts.
Ensure Secure Attachment: Confirm that the buckles are firmly fastened.

Adjusting the Straps:

Tighten the Straps: Adjust the straps to ensure the net is taut and properly positioned to prevent falls.
Storing the Net When Not in Use:

Detach and Store: When the net is not needed, detach it and store it under the mattress for convenience.

I hope this helps. Any fun trips planned for 2025?

Hey Mike, how did the ceiling bracket mounting go with your bunk bed safety net? Were the steps clear enough once you started positioning the mounts? Your feedback could really help others setting up the same net.

I was able to attach the net to the ceiling. But it was not to any support brackets. I took a chance that the metal in the roof would be string enough to hold. Probably not recommended but as long as not tugged on irnpullednitnshouldnhold. Actually, Forest River did not support what I did.

@MikeR Well it sounds like you got it set-up the way you want it Mike. I appreciate your honesty that Forest River did not support this, if it works... it works =)
