What is Difference Between Dexter DX7.5L DX69FR and DX43FR

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/08/2025

Question:

You have 2 Dexter A-60XL and I assume one is for single axle and one is for tandem axle. I see DX43FR and DX69FR? What is the difference or which do I need for tandem axle disc brakes trailer? Replacing a Reliable ACT 7.5K weld on on a 2010 mastercraft boat trailer.

Hey Stephen, this is a great question but I don't have a great answer. Both of our part numbers # DX69FR and # DX43FR represent the same exact Dexter DX7.5L A-60XL Surge Brake Actuator. I am not sure why we have two part numbers for the same thing at this time.

Hey Stephen, did the Dexter DX7.5L A-60XL actuator end up working well on your Mastercraft boat trailer? Knowing how it performed could help others trying to replace a Reliable ACT 7.5K setup. Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same question.
