Is Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator Properly Seated on Hitch Ball

Question:
Re: n go technology on the dexter hitch. How much does the wedgecoupler cover the bottom of the hitch ball? Mine snaps on and won’t release it just seems it’s not covering a lot of the hitch ball towards the bottom its more about 1/2 way between the equator and the bottom

Hi Jeff; can you send me a picture of the coupler on the ball? I'm assuming this is a 2" ball on your ball mount. It sounds like it is really close but difficult to say with just a description. With the Drop-N-Go coupler mechanism you should be able to attach it to the ball in the closed position and it will automatically seat around and latch onto the ball. If you haven't already, lower the jack so it puts all of the weight on the hitch ball to connect. Also, if the setup isn't level that could be the cause of the problem.

Hey Jeff, how did things go once you lowered the jack to put the weight on the hitch ball? Sharing what happened could help others trying to seat their Drop-N-Go coupler the same way.
