How To Determine What Size Leaf Springs, Equalizers And Shackles I Need

Question:
The distance between the center leaf spring hanger and the forward/rear hangers is 26 3/4 inches. What size leaf spring and what size equalizer and shackles do I need?

Hello Jbryan, thanks for getting in touch. I wish I could tell you that based on the hanger spacing, but that just isn't enough info for me to give you precise numbers. If you are needing to replace your springs, equalizers and shackles, you will need to measure what you have currently. Leaf springs should be measured when unloaded, and are measured from eye to eye straight across. For the equalizer you will want to measure the length and height from center hole to center hole. Same for the shackles, measure from center hole to center hole.
Basically I will just take your measurements and try to find parts to match. If you want to drop those measurements in the comments below I am happy to look into it and make a few recommendations.
