Hello Chris,
Great question! To be honest, I could not find anything that was listed different so I reached out the manufacturer to get the answer. The difference between the two is one has a check valve and the other is just a pass through.
The # BM58GR is WITHOUT the check valve inside the housing. It’s just a pass through without the check valve, nothing is there to prevent the backflow of water. Usually used in a Gravity tank fill, tank flush, or winterizing situation.
The # BM46MR is WITH the check valve inside the housing. Used in hooking up your city water.
