Looking For Wheel Stud To Upgrade From Lippert 132624 9/16"-18 Stud With 0.617 Spline Diameter

Published 12/23/2024

Question:

Hello, I have a 2022 Lamar dump trailer and needing to replace all the wheel studs and nuts. The replacement stud part is Lippert 132624. However Im not satisfied with the Lippert Zinc quality of metal. I want an upgraded stronger quality type of metal/alloy. Does eTrailer have something better? Product Specs: • Thread size: 9/16-18 UNF • Length: 2.31 from underhead to end • Spline diameter: 0.617 • Head diameter: 0.77 • For 5,200 - 7,000 lb axel Can you give me 2 or 3 quality options? Thank you and Merry Christmas.

Hey Greg, thanks for reaching out. So we do offer a few other 9/16" - 18 wheel studs that will be of sufficient length. The spline diameter of our studs is 0.689" though. We have nothing in that size with a 0.617" spline diameter or 0.77" head diameter. The only thing I can find that matches that is the Lippert 132624 which is not something we carry here.

The 0.689" spline is just going to be too large for your hub, otherwise I would recommend the DeeMaxx Drive-In Wheel Stud # DE85XR. The DeeMaxx studs are grade 8 high tensile strength and they are known to be solid. Made here in the USA too. You would have to change out your hubs to be able to use them though. I wish we had options in the size you need but its just not a common size.

Thank you Jesse that's what I thought. My suspicion is it's a proprietary money maker. Merry Christmas sir and Happy New Year. Greg S.
