The Curt 24x60 Cargo Carrier you referenced, part # C18152 should work just fine with your Volvo XC70.
You can confirm this by taking a measurement on your hitch. Measure the distance from the hitch pin hole in the receiver rearward until the furthest rearward point of the back bumper is cleared. If this distance is LESS than 11-1/4 inches (which it should be), the carrier will work just fine for you. The carrier will also be able to fold when not in use. I've linked you to a help article showing you how to make that measurement.
You might also be interested in a cargo net like part # RLN1-RTD4 or a locking anti-rattle hitch pin like # 63232.
