Does Locking Part of Blue Ox Pin Need to be Unlocked to be Installed

Question:
Do I need to keep it unlocked when I place the locking part on the pin, or does it kind of like click into place like a ratchet?

Hey Ronald,
The lock that fits onto the Blue Ox Adjustable Trailer Coupler Lock # BLU56XR needs to stay unlocked until you get it to the right place, then you'll lock it in place and be good to go!
It doesn't "ratchet" on, but that's actually a good thing because it makes the fit more snug.
