Recommended Replacement Compartment Door Lock

Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/19/2024

Question:

Hello, we have a 2003 Fleetwood Southwind. Someone just broke open the locks on the compartments and we need to replace them all with something sturdy. We read the Global Link RV Door Locks - 295-000015 might work. Can you help us confirm this? Id also appreciate recommendations for the side doors entrance and driver door lock upgrades. Thank you!

Hey Carissa, sorry to hear about your recent break in. The Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch item # 295-000015 would be a solid replacement option and you would be able to have it keyed alike with your other compartment doors.

I do not know the dimensions of your lock cutout though. There's no database I can access that will show me that information. However, I can give you the dimensions of the item # 295-000015 so you can compare it to your current lock. It measures 5" wide x 4-1/2" tall x 1-1/2" thick and requires a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" cutout hole.

For your other doors we have several other Global Link options that would be great upgrades. I have linked our entire selection below so you can take a look at them.

Hey Carissa, did the Global Link baggage door latch end up fitting the compartments on your Southwind? Your update could make it easier for others trying to replace damaged locks after a break-in.
