What Gen-Y Pin Box Will Fit My Brinkley 3610 5th Wheel 18,000 lb GVWR?

Question:

Good afternoon, I have a question about your GEN-Y 325-GH-8040. I’m wanting to see if this is sufficient for my fifth wheel. It’s a Brinkly 3610, GVW of around 18k. Do you recommend that I go a little bit higher? Or is there another hitch that may be preferred over This one.

Hello Donnie, thanks for getting in touch. A Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box may work for your camper. Since your GVWR is 18K, you will want to go with the 4.5K model like # GY68GR. The GEN-Y 325-GH-8040 you mentioned is not rated quite high enough for your camper.

This model is designed to replace the Lippert 1621 and 1621 HD pin boxes. There is no way for me to look up what pin box your camper is currently equipped with, so this is something you will need to confirm. There should be a sticker on your pin box that has the brand, model number, serial number and it may even have the pin box size number. If the size is not listed (it usually isn't) let me know the model number and serial number of your pin box and I can use that to determine the size. One we know the pin box size we can make sure you get the correct model.

The Gen-Y pin boxes are a great option for an upgraded pin box. You get the shock absorption of an air ride system, only without the maintenance. The torsion rubber lasts a very long time. They come with a 5-year warranty, but most folks never use it since the pin box usually outlasts the camper

Hey Donnie, were you able to confirm which pin box your Brinkly 3610 uses? Knowing that would show if the Gen-Y 4.5K model was the right match. Your update could help others trying to size their pin box correctly.
