Can Yakima Fullback Carry a Full Suspension Mountain Bike
Updated 11/19/2024 | Published 11/12/2024 >
Question:
I have a 2007 Subaru Impreza and I ride a Salsa hard-tail mountain bike - looking at full suspension bikes at some point. Will this work on my car and if so, do I need any additional parts to make it work for what I need? I basically will be transporting mountain bikes only for the most part.

Hey Naomi, the Yakima Fullback trunk rack part # Y02634 that you referenced will work great to carry a full suspended bike. As long as it weighs less than 35 lbs you are good. I looked up the weights of full suspended mountain bikes and the only ones you have to be a little careful with is the heavier duty downhill bikes but most of those are less than 35 lbs.

Thank you Jameson! This is helpful. I wasn't sure after looking at some of the reviews whether or not I'd need any adapter parts. I ordered it the other day!
