Hello Jack.

I am not sure the year of your Ford F150 but I do have a couple of options for you to get that alarm off while you are driving.

First option would be to disengage the alarm. You can do so by turning the truck on, putting it in reverse, and then press the "Select/Reset" stem on the center dash controls. Hold it down for a couple of seconds, then release it.

Second option is to install a light bar like Putco Red Blade LED Tailgate Light Bar - Stop, Tail, Turn, Backup - 60" Long # P92010-60, this works just like having a trailer connected.

I think your best option would be just to turn the alarm off.

Hey Jack, how did things go with your F150 after trying the steps to turn off the alarm or using the Putco light bar? Your update could make it easier for others dealing with the same backup sensor issue.
