2018 Ford Flex Limited, Ecoboost Good Day: Need some help in best and most durable items to choose. - my car doesnt have any roof rails so what roof rail/ lockable roof rack combo is available? - Plan on getting your 2 inch Curt Hitch - why are there so many wiring trailer harnesses available? I would like a 4 pin / 7pin connector so which curt wiring harness is most durable and safe? What combinaation would you suggest? Thank you

Hello Kevin, thanks for reaching out. As far as a roof rack for your 2018 Ford Flex Limited Ecoboost, I recommend the Yakima SkyLine Roof Rack # Y27KB. This is a complete roof rack system so you get your 60" aero crossbars, towers and custom fit kit. You can add the Lock System # Y07204 to lock each tower to the roof for added security. The Yakima roof racks are known for being durable and they come with a lifetime warranty.
We do offer several different wiring harnesses for the 2018 Ford Flex. There are options for vehicles with or without the tow package, and there are options from multiple different brands.
If your vehicle does have the factory tow package you can use the Curt # C55774 to easily add a 7-way and a 4-flat.
If you do not have the tow package, use the Curt T-Connector # C56343 along with the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. These two kits combined contain all of the parts needed to add a 7-way and a 4-flat, including all of the necessary wires for a brake controller. For the brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha P3 # 90195.
