Can you please confirm that your tow bar base plate fits a 1987 Ford f250 4x4 not 2wd diesel? 407-1

No, I'm unable to confirm that because those base plates are not a fit for your 1987 F-250 as those are for F-150 model trucks. There are no custom-fit base plates for an '87 F-250, so you'd have to use a universal option, the Blue Ox Heavy-Duty Universal Bolt-On Base Plate Brackets # BX88266.

These are only compatible with Blue Ox tow bars, and due to how heavy your F-250 is, you'll need the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420.

@Lawrence Nothing specific, but that's because brake systems (and wiring) are universal. So you can use something like the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System # BLU37TR and Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267.
