Recommended Suspension Upgrade to Fight Sway on a Tandem Axle Trailer w/ 3,500 lbs Axles

Question:
We have a 92 Sierra by Cobra fifth wheel we’ve been upgrading with E Trailer’s help. 7k lb, tandem 3500 lb axles mounted above springs. We’ve replaced springs, Moryde wet bolts, and equalizer. If I change lanes too fast, the trailer rocks back and forth violently. Would the shock absorbing kit, and/ or cushioned equalizer help? I read that the Lippert kit won’t work on axles above the springs, and the Roadmaster kit might be damaged if there’s a flat tire. Any help would be appreciated! The trailer has been garaged all its life, and not many miles on it!

Hey Carl welcome back! Out of those options, I would recommend going with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers item # RM-2450. These would definitely add quite a bit of lateral stability and overall improve your towing experience. You run the risk of damaging a number of components if you blow a tire. That's just part of the fun of towing. I do not think a cushioned equalizer is going to improve the violent swaying you're encountering.
Another option is to install the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs item # TSS-106-40, you were looking at. These also provide lateral support and work aggressively to address sway. They work independently from side to side which helps that back and forth feeling.
I have linked review videos below for both systems so you can see their features demonstrated.

Hi Jerred, thank you for your help again! Would the shock absorbers be the best option for me? The other question is, would two of the Rm2450-50 kits be the same as the Rm2450 kit?
