Can The B&W Patriot Be Mounted To Adapter Rails For GM's Puck System

I have a 2019 gmc sierra Denali 2500 6.5’ bed with factory puck system. I currently have a bandw patriot slider hitch in my 2016 that I would like to use in my 2019. Will this rail set work in my 2019 trucks puck system and will I be able to use my bandw patriot fifth wheel hitch with it?

Hey Tom,

The Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6194 would fit your 2019 GMC Sierra 2500's puck system, but the design of the B&W Patriot Slider # BWRVK3270 will prevent it from being able to be mounted to adapter rails like this one. You would unfortunately need to switch to B&W's Companion slider # BWRVK3770 in order to utilize your puck system.

I would see try to sell the Patriot to recoup some of your cost to transition over. With the Companion you'd be able to swap out bases to fit different branded puck systems and bed lengths if you ever change up your tow vehicle in the future.

Is there any rail adapters available that I can purchase to utilize my existing B&W patriot slider hitch in my 2019 Denali HD. I have 2 tow vehicles which I’d like to swap the patriot slidet hitch between but my 2016 Silverado HD has standard rails and the Denali obviously has the puck system. Thank you in advance.

@Tom Unfortunately there is not an option to go between the two truck's mounting styles with the Patriot slider. The slider base of the Patriot has a middle portion that sits as low as the mounting tabs and since these rail adapters all have supports that run between the front and back rails the hitch just physically can not drop into the slots in the rails and mount. The only other work around would be to replace the pin box on the trailer with a rotating pin box and then you could switch to a fixed base on the Patriot and use a puck rail adapter to swap back and forth between the two trucks. This would likely cost quite a bit more than just purchasing a second hitch though.

Thank you for your response and clarification. The only other item I found was the Eaz-Lift Camco 48661 Puck Style Fifth Wheel Adapter but have not been able to get a legit answer from a reputable source. Not sure if you sell these or if have asked you about it yet. Do you know anything regarding this item and if it would function with my B&W Patriot slider? Thank you again.

@Tom That's not something that we currently offer and from what I can see they only list that it's compatible with EazLift branded hitches so it's likely untested by anyone yet.
