Troubleshooting Lack Of Brake Controller Output From A 2022 GMC Sierra 3500

Question:

Hi, i have a GMC 3500 HD 2022, and a Grand Design trailer 2025 Momentum, i have lights but no brakes on my trailer. With a message to verify the trailer connection on my dash board. Is there something i can do to resolve my issue . Thanx

Hi Jean,

There's definitely some testing that you can do to narrow down what the issue is and get it fixed. We'll just need more info here on your setup to figure out what troubleshooting steps you should take. What type of brakes does the trailer have? Have you tried this truck out with any other trailers to confirm it's the truck that's the issue and not an issue with the trailer? Does the trailer have LED or incandescent lights?
