Just wondering if I have to trim any fascia on my 2024 Chevy Equinox EV to install the hitch?

Hey Brent,

That's a really good question, and while there is some trimming needed on your 2024 Chevy Equinox EV, bumper/fascia trimming is not required when installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C89RV.

What you'll have to trim is some of the underbody panel on the Equinox, and I have added a cutout below of the instructions for the # C89RV which show the amount. You can do this pretty swiftly with a rotary tool, and while it's a pretty long piece you'll need to trim, it's needed so the receiver is able to protrude.

That said, it won't be visible when you finish the install, and won't affect your Equinox EV in any way.

U-Haul guy is installing my hitch as I write this. His recommendation on trimming the fascia piece is to take it to a body shop which has much more experience at that sort of precision cutting. This is my plan. Jim
