Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this TowSmart Custom Fit Class III two inch trailer hitch receiver. Now this has been designed for your 2021 and newer Volkswagen ID 4, and on custom fit parts such as this hitch, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Just input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So this receiver is going to sit beneath your bumper for easy cargo access. With a 300 pound tongue weight, this hitch is going to be ready for your multi-bike rack or a fully loaded cargo carrier.

This hitch is going to replace and upgrade the one that you currently have on your ID, and so you're just simply going to reuse that hardware that's holding your current one in place. So this does not include hardware.
It will reuse the hardware that's currently holding the one that you have on there now in place. The tube design is going to add durability while maintaining the clean look. Again, this is built to handle work and play. It's ready for whatever your ID needs to tow. And this has a kind of a glossy black finish powder coat finish.

Bolted right on. this didn't come with any instructions but I had a quick chat with sales who quickly got me the torque spec for the mounting bolts (86 ft-lbs if you need to know)
I called and spoke to Josh who answered every question clearly. He helped me choosing the right item and the install took like ten minutes! thank you for the support!
Easy to install on my 2023 ID4 pro S no need for adapter so everything is way more solid!!!
