Looking For Roof Cargo Box For 24" Crossbar Spread That Can Fit 185 cm Skis

Question:
Im looking for a cargo box to fit a maximum of 185 cm skis for my 2024 Lexus RX 450h+. The Thule crossbars we purchased for the flush mount rails are fixed at 24inch wide. We have 52 inches between the front crossbar and the hatch when open. Is there a cargo box that could work? Thanks, Julie

Hello Julie, thanks for reaching out. There is a rooftop cargo box that will work for your needs. For that I recommend the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box# TH629806. This can accommodate skis up to 200 cm long, and it will work with the 24" crossbar spread. It will also allow you to fully open the hatch. This cargo box requires at least 51-1/4" between the front crossbar and the line where the roof and the hatch meet. So with you having 52" between the crossbar and the hatch it will open fully with about 3/4" to spare.
