The GrandTour Lo has 15 cu ft of storage space for skis, snowboards, and other gear. The aerodynamic, low-profile design helps to reduce drag and wind noise, and the locking lid conveniently opens from either side of your vehicle. The box has internal tie-down points for securing cargo, and the quick-release mounting system offers easy, tool-free installation.
This cargo box is constructed of durable ABS plastic that is lightweight yet rigid and impact resistant. It has a glossy black finish that is stylish and less susceptible to chips, scratches, and harsh UV rays when compared with paint.
The GrandTour Lo features a dual-side opening lid so you can load and access your gear from either side of your vehicle. Integrated, grip-friendly handles help you easily open and close the lid even with one hand. The lid has lifters that ensure it opens and closes smoothly. There is also a convenient pull cord on the inside that helps you close the lid.
The cargo box has SKS locks on each side of the lid. The key cannot be removed from the locks unless the lid is closed and locked. This prevents you from driving with an open or unlocked lid. The locks include SKS lock cores so you can swap them out to make all your Yakima accessories keyed alike.
The box can be mounted on your vehicle in less than 5 minutes with the quick-release mounting system. These clamps adjust along tracks in the floor of the box to accommodate different crossbar spreads.
To install the box, set it on your roof rack and center the clamps over your crossbars. Then simply use the included torque knob to tighten the clamps around the bars. The knob clicks when the clamps are secure, and can be removed after installation for a flat, unobstructed floor.
The mounting bracket assemblies on the inside of the box have fixed anchor points for securing your cargo. Just loop straps (sold separately) through the anchor points and pull the straps tight to secure your gear.

Really happy with this Yakima cargo box. I’ve used it on a Grand Cherokee and an Expedition.
I am not a fan of this product and would not order it again.
The main issue is that it is difficult to know when the product is locked, which caused several instances of it opening on the highway! Not cool.
The box is very slippery in the rain and difficult to work with when when.
Also a key broke off in the lock right before a big trip which caused all sorts of stress. Had to buy new keys from Yakima and a key removal kit to fix it.
I went back and forth between the Yakima GT
and the Thule Motion Xt for my 2012 Tahoe.
After many of the excelent instalation videos I went with the Yakima. What sold it for me was the Yakima lock down system using only one master handel to tighten the 4 roof clamps. this keeps the floor "flat" which makes for better packing. With the Thule lock down system there 4 large round handled lock downs that create an uneven floor space with the "handles" sticking up.This Yakima GT box is super nice I would highly recomend this box great quality.

Originally wanted to order this Yakima Cargo Box from REI, for a sale price of XXX$. However they wanted XXX$ for shipping. After some looking found etrailer.com, they had same cargo box for same price and "Free Shipping". So I gave it a shot. It took maybe 10 days to arrive and the packaging looked pretty banged up when it did. So I was expecting some damage when I opened it. All for not, everything was fine. I'm happy and would recommend etrailer.com. Though just because everything is good now, I have no idea what kind of hassle it would be to return the cargo box if things wouldn't have worked out. Actually I haven't yet put this on my SUV, but I don't anticipate any problems
