Will The Curt Powered Tail Light Converter C59496 Work On A 2017 BMW i3?

Question:
I have a 2017 BMW i3 I would like to install this on. For some reason, this only lists 2019, 2020, and 2021 BMW i3 as compatible. I dont believe there is a difference. Can you tell me why this wouldnt work?

Hello Claus, thanks for reaching out. The Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59496 is a universal harness. This can be used on virtually any vehicle with tail lights. It will work fine on your 2017 BMW i3, just as with the 2019, 2020 and 2021 models. It does require cutting and splicing of the vehicles harness so as long as you are comfortable with that, the # C59496 will absolutely work on your vehicle.
