Hitch Cargo Carrier for Scooter for 2019 Nissan Rogue

Question:
Good Evening I was told that I could not put a scooter mount on my 2019 Nissan Rogue because they are not built for carrying a scooter when i bought the rogue the salesman said we could put on a hitch and the mount to carry the scooter I put the hitch on what is your recommendation

Hey Mary, it really just comes down to being able to stay under the weight capacity for the hitch and vehicle with the weight of your carrier and scooter. You could use a carrier like the Erickson Mobility Carrier part # EM34JV which has a platform that measures 30 inch by 50 inch and has a 400 lb capacity. This weighs a total of 68 lbs.
I tried to look up the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle and it does look like it has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity. So your scooter would need to weigh less than 282 lb.
