Troubleshooting No Lights Working On 2022 Retco Car Hauler

Question:
I have a 22 foot Retco car hauler trailer I bought new in 2023. For some reason I have no lights at all working. It is not the tow vehicle. I have used the vehicle to tow other trailers. It isnt the ground wire either. i just tried a new power cord, and that is not it either. No break in the wiring anywhere I can find. Is it possible something shorted out and blew all the lights on the trailer?

Hi Douglas; although it is unlikely to happen that is certainly possible. It sounds like you have checked everything else which makes it even more likely. What you can do is take a tester like # PTW2993 and check for 12V power running into the lights. If you have power on the wire running into the lights but the lights aren't illuminated then you know for sure the lights are the problem and need to be replaced.
