Will Thule Aluminum Tie-Downs Fit GM Side Rails from Cargo Management System
Question:
Hi Charles/ eTrailer tech team - we have a 13 GM pickup that uses the GM Cargo Management System sourced from Thule. This has under bed rail mounted sliding rails, with a profile for accessory mounting and positioning - nothing groundbreaking here see attached image. That system used a sliding tie-down loop GM had like 3 or 4 part numbers, but the latest p/n:19159120 that is no longer produced or available anywhere see attached image. the tie down loop had a profile with a slippery plastic that allowed the positioning anywhere along the rails for a tie-down loop. thule has a current part that has a t-slot profile, with a plastic sliding Thule sliding ladder rack base rails, p/n: 25100, etrailer sku: TH25100, see attached pic. I spoke at length to Thule cust. service yesterday, but they cant get any info from their internal OEM team, and cant measure the currently available item. I saw you were able to get some dimensions for the loop on the current item - could you ALSO get some measurements for the sliding profile? the height and width of the t-slot metal to metal, and plastic to plastic, to see if it will fit on our rail system?

Hey David, thanks for reaching out and providing all of your information!
The T-Slot on the Aluminum Tie-Downs for Thule TracRac Sliding Ladder Rack Base Rails # TH25100 measures 1-1/8" wide, and then the slot measures 1/4" tall but overall the "leg" part measures 1/2" tall. I'm not sure what the size of the rails are for your GM rails, but you should be able to compare these dimensions to what you have to see if they will fit or not.
I wasn't able to add all of the photos you submitted simply because we don't have the rights to post them, but I do appreciate you sending them in for clarification!

Thats exactly what we needed thank you! alas, the GM tie down loops are different: The red dimension appears to match within loose tolerances, but the yellow dimension is 0.163", and the green dimension is 0.275:, so my GM rails are the same T width, but the T height is probably only 1/8". Thank you for getting back to me on this best David
