Question:
Titan Alloy Snow Chains w/ Cams or Titan v-bar link w/ Cams for my 3500 RAM 285/60-R20 tires. Not sure which is best for me. Most driving with chains would be on pavement but on occasion dirt/gravel roads in Colorado.

Hey Ted,
Good question, and for the 285/60-R20 tires on your 2024 Ram 3500, go with the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Chains w/ Cams # TC3229SCAM.
Since you're mainly going to be on standard roads, you aren't going to need the V-bar studs of the Titan Chains # TC3829CAM, which are mostly for deeper off-road and ice. Additionally, they're made from steel, and won't hold up to the elements quite as well as the # TC3229SCAM, which are made of manganese nickel alloy, which is designed to resist corrosion.

Hey Ted, how did the Titan Alloy Snow Chains with cams work out on your Ram 3500? It’d be great to hear how they handled both pavement and those dirt or gravel roads. Your feedback could help others choosing between the alloy and V-bar options.
