Why isnt the 2008 ridgeline on the list of compatable vehicles? Its prewired for towing and has the same connections as the 2009. Will this kit work with a 2008? 118253

Hello Jay,
Your 2008 Honda Ridgeline has different connections than the 2009, and the OEM has an odd added pinned connection so it's not compatible. Apart from that you may be able to find an OEM replacement connector, but otherwise the best I can offer to add a 7-way to your 2008 Honda Ridgeline you'll need the 4-Way Trailer Connector # C55585 and Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.

Hey Jay, how did things go adding the 7-way to your 2008 Ridgeline using the 4-way connector and brake controller kit? Your update could make it easier for others working with that same wiring setup.
