Question:
I bought the curt echo break controller for my 2017 Ford 150. It wont work and gets no power I have tried everything. 25 Amp fuse is good also. Ford forem says if you dont buy the oem break controller thats meant for the truck that the truck will not send 12 volt to the 7 way.that means that the echo is worthless. I bought it cause your site said it would work for my truck. How do I get my money back?

Hey Bobbie, thanks for reaching out!
The Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller # C51180 is compatible with your 2017 Ford F-150, but a separate 12V power wire will need to be installed to send dedicated power to the Echo when your truck is in park or shifting gears. Curt actually has a statement on page one of their instructions about visiting a Curt authorized installer to get this done, but you can also do this on your own with 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 if you don't want someone else doing this.
If you're still wanting to return the brake controller you're more than welcome to - you'll just need to reach out to the place you purchased it about a return. I'm not seeing a purchase through us here at etrailer.com with this email address so if you did get it through us then I'll either need the order number or the email address you used so I can have our customer service team reach out to you about it.
