What is a Good Tankless Water Heater for Small Trailer

Updated 01/06/2026 | Published 09/18/2024

Question:

I have a small trailer and my hot water heater we out. I was thinking of installing a tankless outdoor propane 110v water heater. Do you have a suggestion?

Hey Aaron,

While we have a good option for a small tankless water heater, there aren't any that run off 110V power. What we do have that doesn't require you to hook up to anything is one that runs off a pair of D batteries, the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR.

The # EX93FR is small at just 11-1/4" wide x 14-5/8" tall x 5-1/4" deep and gives you 1.6 gallons of hot water per minute, so it's a good size for a small trailer and really nice for those quick showers.

Hey Aaron, how did the Excel tankless water heater work out for your trailer? It sounds like a handy size for quick showers on the go. Your update could make it easier for others looking for a compact hot water option.

@AaronS Ok no worries just thought I'd check in! What other questions do you have about the water heater swap? Anything specific you are hung up on that I can help with?
