2024 Ford Maverick - Does Charge Line Need To Go Directly To Battery Under Seat?

Question:
I’m getting my 2024 Maverick to flat tow and I’m wanting to run a hot wire to keep the battery charged while towing. In the maverick the battery is under the rear seat but there’s a jumping lug under the hood. Do you know if the wire can be ran to the lug under the hood or should it go directly to the battery? I’m new at this and want to make sure and do it right. Should it be fused? Thank you.

Hello Donald. When installing a charge line on your 2024 Ford Maverick, you will need to run the wire directly to the battery under the seat. We have a charge line kit from Roadmaster part # RM-156-25 that can be used for this purpose. It comes with wire, connectors, wire loom, zip ties and a circuit breaker.
