I purchased this item as it was fit to my 2016 bmwx5 35i turns out there is item C56190 that was most recommended to my specific vehicle, why?? is the module any different it looks like the wires are same only thing i see different is the module. please help, i dont want to fry my BMW battery or any other components. thank you so much!

Hey Jose,
The Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236 is the newer version of the # C56190KIT that is also PWM compatible so it would be a fit for your BMW X5. I've attached a short video below where Shane will walk you through the installation process.
