Recommended Front-Mounted Trailer Hitch For A 2022 Ford F-450

Question:

Hi! I am looking for a front hitch reciever for my 2022 F-450 Limited. I believe it has the transmission cooler up front and also has 2 sensors in the bumper although Im not exactly sure what those sensors do. I dont mind cutting some plastic but I do want to keep my front end in tact and be able to use my sensors. The purpose of this reciever is to mount a winch when needed. Which part number do you recommend and what is the quickest turnaround time to get the hitch dselivered to Torrance, CA? Thanks - Chris 310.961.0372

Hey Chris,

The custom-fit front-mounted trailer hitches we offer for your 2022 Ford F-450 are going to sit down in the air dam under the bumper so it should clear any sensors. We offer the Draw-Tite # 65076 and EcoHitch Hidden # EH83GR. The # 65076 has a lower capacity at Line pull capacity of 9,000lbs vertical load limit of 500lbs versus the # EH83GR's 10,000lb/1,000lb capacities, but is also about half the cost. I'm assuming you'll likely be under the 9k capacity of the # 65076 so it's going to be the more cost effective option.

Hey Chris, how did the front hitch work out on your F-450 with the sensors and air dam? It’d be great to know if the Draw-Tite or EcoHitch fit the way you wanted. Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a winch mount like yours.
