Does Trailer Brake Controller Require Relay Installed

Question:
Hi, Does the controller need to work through a relay switch to operate the electric brakes at the wheels, or can it be wired directly to the wheel brakes? Hope that makes sense. Thanks. Gary

Hey Gary, the brake controllers like the part # TK90160 that you referenced do not require a relay installed between them and the trailer brake assemblies. They will power the brakes directly via the brake output circuit.
