Greetings Ive been researching the control board 91365 and some folks say it needs an adaptor to work with the WH6GEA water heater... is this true?

Hi Alan,

It does look like there are certain models that might require an adapter to connect the 4-wire and 6-wire harnesses to the # DMC89FR. The adapter is part number 92074 and unfortunately isn't something we currently offer. There really isn't any literature stating which models specifically need this adapter but the parts diagram for the WH6GEA does show it so I'd say you would likely need it.

Just a heads up, the WH6GEA water heater does NOT need the adapter for the 91365 the control board. Have a good day!

Hey Dave, Yes, Dometic lists the Replacement Circuit Board for Dometic Atwood Water Heaters #DMC89FR (91365) as a replacement for the WH-6GEA water heater models.

We do indeed offer a replacement heating element for the Dometic WH-6GEA RV water heater which we sell as part #DMC74FR. You'll want to use part #DMC49FR which also includes the needed replacement gasket.
