This built-in furnace will get your RV nice and toasty far quicker than a space heater. Doorless model includes backing plate for securing exhaust vent to your exterior wall. With 30,000 Btu of heat, we recommend this for RVs about 30' long.

Bigger isn't always better. Getting a furnace that's bigger than you need can cause problems. A major one is that it will burn even more propane than you need.
You really only need about 1,000 Btus for every foot of RV length. For example, a 20,000 Btu furnace would be good for a 20' trailer or motorhome. That's why we'd recommend this one for a 30' trailer.
If you're installing a new furnace, the decision between door or doorless furnace will depend on where its installed and how you can get to it for maintenance or repair. With a doorless version, only the vent plate will be visible on the outside of your RV. This gives you a cleaner look, but it also means that you must be able to access the furnace from the inside of your RV.
The doored version isn't really a door, but more of an access panel that is screwed in place. You shouldn't need to access your furnace regularly, but when you do, you will need that access panel if the furnace is mounted in a place that you can't easily get to inside your RV.

Hello, neighbor Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our doorless Dometic RV furnace. Runs on LP gas with an automatic pilot light, 12 volts of DC current rated at 30,000 BTUs. So folks, with this furnace you can quickly and efficiently heat up the interior of your RV or camper. And as far as some quick dimensions, this guy is 16 and a half inches wide, seven inches tall and 20 inches deep from front to back. Now that's just the housing.
Keep in mind the gas line here, hookup runs a little bit past there about an inch and a half past. Now again, you can quickly and efficiently heat up the interior of your RV camper, travel trailer, motor home, fifth wheel trailer, whatever, and it's gonna replace, upgrade, or just add a furnace. And it is propane powered, so it's gonna be great for boondocking. You can use it without electrical hookups since it only uses the 12 volts that your batteries would have. And it does have an automatic behind all this.
There's a DSI gas pilot that's gonna reduce the risk of gas leaks, increase fuel efficiency, and it can automatically relight until the heater is switched off. And you do have that reset button and everything up here on top. Now it uses a low air turbulence and that's gonna provide quiet operation as far as the motor and the blowing and everything, it is what we call a doorless compact design. It can be configured horizontally or vertically depending on your needs and wants. Inside of this main control board little unit down in there, there is an LED light that could flash and that would basically flash giving you a diagnostic code if there's any kind of faults present.
Now, you would need to purchase a thermostat control unit that's sold separately. We sell a black colored one here at etrailer.com, item number DMC84RR. And it's gonna need or gonna include rather the installation brackets, these two little brackets down here and two screws. And you also get three of these duct adapters. Then go here, here, two on the side maybe, you got three options in the back and two options on the other side as well.
So again, depending on your particular needs, once again, the LP gas runs through here at the hookup. You got your wires here, two blue for thermostat, red for power, black for ground. Now you may possibly need some butyl tape as far as making this connection when you take off this little trim piece here, that would be on the outside wall of the RV camper, et cetera. Maybe you need some butyl tape or RTV sealing of some sort to seal that up as far as keeping moisture and that kind of stuff out. And you could possibly need some number six or number eight by half inch long pinhead AB style or what I call self-tapping screws as far as some installation mounting as well. And again, that's all sold separately. If you need it, you can pick it up here or at maybe a local hardware store. The whole thing is ETL certified. Once again, 30,000 BTUs. This is the doorless option by Dometic. I'm Steven, thanks so much for your time folks. Stay safe out there as always while you're towing.
