Replacing Running Light Wire on Shorelandr Boat Trailer
Updated 08/16/2024 | Published 08/15/2024 >
Question:
Hello. I have a Shorelandr roller boat trailer for a Lund Mr Pike 16. The RH side of the trailer running lights are not working and is popping the fuse on my truck. The trailer has all LED lights. The brake lights work however. The LH works fine before the fuse pops which leads me to believe there is a damaged wire on the RH that is arching. The wires are also very warm to the touch. I believe the replacement harness that I need for that side of the trailer is the SHORELANDR RH Wiring Harness, 20 5110402. I just wanted to confirm as Im not sure what the single female and male plugs are for. Thanks! That side of the trailer has 3 marker lights and the taillight.

Hi Mike; based on what you have said I agree that the right side running light wire is likely the problem and should be replaced. We don't carry Shorelandr parts and I don't know what your current setup is like so I don't know what that single plug with the black wire is for on the wiring harness you referenced.
If your current wiring on that side has 3-wires with the 2-prong plug like I'm seeing in the picture I would assume it works and you could trace the black wire to find its function. You could always contact the manufacturer too since I'm sure they know. If you don't have those plugs you can simply replace your brown running light wire on that side with # DW02413-1.
