I have a Crossroads Sunset Trail 289qb with a bent axle. I am looking for a factory replacement along with hub seals, and u bolts. I am also interested in upgrading the hardware for both axles with upgraded equalizers for in between the springs.

Hi Eric,
To replace each of these components you'll first need to take some measurements. For the axle you'll need to remove a wheel on each side and measure from the face of the hub on one side over to the face on the other side of the axle. I would jack up the back by the frame to get the two rear wheels off. Next you'll need to measure the spring seats from center to center.
For the bearings and seals you can check them to see if their part numbers are still stamped into them. If the part numbers have faded/worn away then you can measure the spindle at points B, C, and D with a caliper # PTW80157 for their inner diameters. For outer diameter you can measure the bore hole of the hub. With these measurements I can look up what the bearings and grease seals are.
If you want to replace the leaf springs you'll want to remove a wheel and lift the trailer by the frame to take the weight of the leaf springs and can then measure from center to center of the eyelets. You would also do this with the shackle straps and the equalizer. With the equalizer you'll also measure vertically from the hanger eyelet down to the center of the shackle strap eyelets (see diagrams below).
For the bolts you'll just need to measure how thick they are (likely 9/16") and how long they are overall/length of the shaft under the head. If you want wet bolts so that you can apply grease just let me know. Otherwise I can pick out some standard bolts with nylon bushings so that you don't have to do any maintenance.
