Which Wire Gets Grounded on Reverse Lockout Solenoid Install

Question:
It was mentioned in an earlier question that there are two wires coming off the reverse solenoid. One is wired to the trailer ground and the other is wired to the wire coming off the center pin on a 7 pin connector. Does it matter which wire is the ground and which wire is connected to the center pin? Both are black. The diagram seems to show that the wire closest to the edge of the solenoid is the ground. That is just a guess on my part.

It doesn't matter which wire is grounded and which get run to the reverse light circuit of the 7-way on your trailer.
