Adding Anti-Sway Products to a 2022 Motorhome on a Ford F-600 Chassis

Updated 08/15/2024 | Published 08/13/2024

Question:

I have a 2022 motorhome on a Ford F600 chassis. It is 38 FT in length. I want to reduce sway and am interested in the Supersprings and the SumoSprings. If using both, the SumoSprings are rated at 2800 pounds but the Supersprings have multiple options 1400, 2500, 3400, and 5000. Which version of Superspings should I use with the SumoSprings?

Hey Steven, thanks for reaching out!

I recommend pairing the 2,800 lb SumoSprings # SS54VR with the 3,400 lb SuperSprings # SSA25 so you get a good amount of support without adding so much that it sacrifices your ride quality.

Since your main problem you're talking about is the sway, you might see more of a difference with Front # HE34MR and Rear # HE97YR anti-sway bars first. The ones from the factory tend to just be placeholders and aren't robust enough to make much of a difference. The Hellwig bars I referenced above have a 1-1/2" diameter for the front and a 1-3/8" diameter for the rear - you can compare this with the current ones on your motorhome to see the if these are going to give you some extra support or not.
