How to Tell If Swagman XTX-2 Tilt Will Fit Chevy Silverado With Pop-Up Bed Camper

Question:
Will the Swagman XTC-2 Tilt work on a Chevy Silverado 1500 with a Four Wheel brand pop-up camper a slide-in truck camper? Will the bike rack tilt back enough to open the camper door which when open fully extends 27?

Hello JoAnne,
I can't tell you outright if the Swagman XTC2 TILT Bike Rack # S64671 will work on a Chevy Silverado 1500 with a Four Wheel brand pop-up slide-in truck camper, but I can't imagine there will be any issue. The rack measures 8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack, so if you measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest your camper extends past that and it's less than 8 inches the rack can work.
From what I saw those campers don't extend much at all so it's very likely it'll work. As for the tilt, since the arms of the # S64671 fold down and it also tilts back, you will be able to open the door.

My biggest concern was opening the camper door with bikes loaded. Turns out with one bike placed in the outer tray I can open the door fully with the tilt mode. Nice! With two bikes I can open the camper door just enough to squeeze in if necessary. I mostly I travel solo this well made, budget bike rack is perfect for me. Thanks for your help.
